October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we've picked out a tee that we think is the epitome of what this month means.
The tee simply reads HOPE - hope for those currently battling this ugly disease, hope for the survivors that are praying cancer doesn't return rearing it's ugly head, hope for those friends and family scared and holding their loved ones hand, hope for those who are left to sort out life without a loved one who lost their battle to breast cancer. Cancer doesn't discriminate, and most of us have been affected by breast cancer at some point in our lives, both of us have grandmas that are survivors.
We've chosen to donate ALL of the profits from the HOPE tee to two families recently affected by breast cancer.
Megan (Sandman) Parker was a childhood friend of Nicki's cousin Vanessa, they were best friends - soul sisters. Megan was diagnosed with breast cancer at 30, and just over a week ago lost her 1.5 year battle with breast cancer at the age of 32 leaving behind her husband, 4 year old son, and daughter who turned 2 last week as well as numerous other friends and family members.
Stephanie Miller is a longtime friend of Ashlee's sister Alixx, from volleyball tournaments to school dance they were always together. Stephanie was diagnosed with breast cancer in June at the age of 30. She is currently traveling to the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City for her chemo treatments and will then have surgery to remove the tumor and start radiation. Stephanie is mom to her 4 year old daughter and 1 year old son.
These tees are a preorder and will be open for ordering until October 7th. WE hope to have them available for shipping/pickup by Oct 21st.
